We recycle NiMH, lithium high-grade and lithium low-grade accumulators. These accumulators are used as the basis for the production of chemicals, which, in turn, are returned to the closed-loop cycle. Primary batteries (not rechargeable), such as alkaline-manganese batteries, cannot be treated.

Many recyclers stop at mechanical treatment and only provide black mass – which is often sent abroad for further refinement. We take the next step: We rely on our hydrometallurgical process, which has existed for centuries and is constantly being further developed and optimized by our research department. With this technology, we extract high-purity chemicals, such as nickel, cobalt, copper and lithium salts. These raw materials are then immediately reused in the production of new batteries. Thus, we ensure not only that we recover raw materials, but also that we can supply valuable materials for the production cycle.
